I bought this book as a gift for a young blacksmith ... he us very pleased with it! It has been about 65 years since I last moved a workpiece from the fire to the anvil, and I bought this book to relive my old memories and transfer them to a young man who is operating his own forge shop. Both he and I are pleased with this addition to our respective libraries!This is not a recently authored book, but the contents are, really, timeless!
Lots of good, practical; information for the practicing blacksmith!

the information for treatment is outdated horribly and most of the figures are missing altogether or only partial
This was high school all again I poured metal in metal class we had a forge in high school. This guy know his stuff. Great book.
Who ever transcribed this book from the original book to an E-book did a terrible job. Words are misspelled or totally missing. Some words do not match the meaning of the text. Not worth any amount.
